The game's backstory is that Lex Luthor has created nano-robots that grant superhuman powers to people to prevent a future catastrophe where Brainiac conquers the Earth. Before entering the game, you create your original, fully customizable DC character choosing your gender, looks, personality, powers, and other attributes.
